About Trash Ranger Indonesia

Trash Ranger Indonesia is a youth-led environmental organization with a nationwide presence across more than 30 provinces. Born out of a grassroots clean-up initiative at a music concert, we have since evolved into a dynamic platform for environmental advocacy, education, and action.

We unite passionate individuals under one shared mission: to create a sustainable future by addressing environmental challenges through real, measurable impact.

Our Pillars of Action

We operate through seven strategic pillars, each representing a critical front in the fight for environmental sustainability:

1. Renewable Energy
   Advocating for clean, sustainable energy transitions through awareness, community programs, and collaborative action.

2. Clean-Up & Waste Management
   Organizing collective clean-up drives and promoting responsible, scalable waste management practices.

3. Research, Development, and Community Empowerment
   Conducting participatory research and grassroots development while empowering communities to lead environmental initiatives.

4. Food Waste
   Reducing food waste through education, distribution systems, and behavioral change campaigns.

5. Sustainable Lifestyle
   Encouraging everyday eco-conscious decisions, from ethical consumption to sustainable living habits.

6. Cosmetic Waste
   Addressing cosmetic and personal care waste through advocacy, recycling efforts, and sustainable beauty education.

7. Pollution and Environmental Contamination
   Taking action against environmental pollutants—whether air, water, or soil—through clean-ups and grassroots monitoring.

Our Impact

• Mobilized thousands of youth volunteers across Indonesia.

• Diverted hundreds of kilograms of waste from landfills during events and clean-up programs.

• Built partnerships with local governments, universities, and civil society organizations.

• Empowered communities through hands-on workshops, education, and environmental campaigns.

Example: In collaboration with SEMAI in Depok, 51 volunteers successfully sorted 447.76 kg of waste in a single hour—demonstrating the power of collective action.
